With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the last thing you probably want to do is think about your ex. Well, Burger King is taking a different approach to the holiday this year and rather than celebrating couples being in love, the restaurant is asking their customers to trade in memories of their ex in exchange for a free whopper.
Unfortunately, the break up boxes will only be placed in four cities, including NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Boston. Burger King’s partnership with the new movie “Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn,” inspired the restaurant to jump on this Valentine’s Day special as the character of Harley Quinn is apparently dealing with her break up from the Joker.
In a press release, Burger King explained that their “restaurants are celebrating Anti-Valentine’s Day in true Harley Quinn fashion.” Luckily, if you don’t live near one of the participating cities, you can complete Burger King’s 5-question quiz on their app, and get a whopper for just $3. Everybody wins!
