A full version of Prince’s “Cosmic Day” has been released by his estate.
The track will be included in the reissue of Sign O’ the Times, which will be out September 25. The reissue will consist of an eight-CD or 13-LP set with 45 unreleased studio recordings, a concert film from the 1987 New Year’s Eve show at Paisley Park, a 120-page hardcover book featuring handwritten lyrics and unreleased photos, plus more.
Only a piece of “Cosmic Day” had been out for years. The track was recorded back in 1986 at Sunset Sound, Studio 3. The Prince estate shared a photo of Prince’s handwritten lyrics for the song, see below.
