Coldplay and Selena Gomez perform on Corden (CBS)
By Brooklyn Solis
Coldplay has once again given us a collaboration we didn’t know we needed! The band took over The Late Late Show with James Corden on Monday night with special guest Selena Gomez. The duo, came together to perform their collaborative single, “Let Somebody Go.”
“Let Somebody Go” is the latest single released by Coldplay for their new album Music of Spheres. The single is a slow tempo ballad sharing the heartrending decision to let your lover go despite your feelings and wants.
Debuting the single for the first time, the collaboration of Chris Martin and Gomez’s vocals provided a sorrowful melody as they traded off lyrics, and finally intertwined their voices in the chorus.
Coldplay’s ninth album, Music of Spheres, features heavy-hitter tracks such as “Higher Power,” “Coloratura” and their BTS collaboration “My Universe.”
With the album being released last week, the band now plans ahead their 2022 tour, which is said to be a sustainable and low-carbon tour. The tour kicks off March 18th, 2022 in Costa Rica, with the North America sets to begin on April 23rd.
The band is set to take the NRG Stadium in Houston on May 8th and you don’t want to miss your chance to see the band back in action! Click here for your chance to win tickets.
