Bat Out of Hell singer and actor Michael Lee Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, has died at the age of 74.
The news was confirmed on Meat Loaf’s verified Facebook page. “Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight surrounded by his wife Deborah, daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends.”
Although the cause of death wasn’t shared, TMZ reported that the musician died of COVID-19 complications. Meat Loaf’s album Bat out of Hell continues to be one of the top selling albums of all time. In 1973, he played Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Meat Loaf also won a Grammy in 1993 for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for the song “I’d Do Anything for Love.”
