Nicki Minaj will return to host the 2023 MTV VMA Awards, taking place at New Jersey’s Prudential Center on Tuesday, (Sept. 12).
Minaj — who was honored with the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award last year — will also perform her latest single, “Last Time I Saw You,” live for the first time at this year’s ceremony. She joins a list of performers including the recently-added Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, Anitta, and many more.
Minaj, a 6x VMA-winner, holds the record for winning the most nods in the category of Best Hip Hop (winning in 2011, 2015, 2018, and in 2022 for “Do We Have A Problem” with Lil Baby). This year Minaj is nominated in the hip hop category for “Super Freaky Girl,” and is also up for Video of the Year and Best Visual Effects for that single, as well as Artist of The Year, Song of The Summer for “Barbie World” featuring Ice Spice, and Best R&B for “Love In The Way” with Yung Bleu.
The 2023 MTV VMA Awards will take place on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at 8 P.M. ET.
