Michael Bublé visited Victoria, Australia for a private primate concert.
Ganyeka, Yakini, and Motaba, three gorillas of Werribee Open Range Zoo, received a special serenade from Bublé after he got wind his Christmas album was among their favorite lullabies. According to zookeeper Ben Gulli in this video below, the theory is Bublé’s low tones are similar to the gorillas’ pleasure grumbling.
Michael Bublé performs to his biggest primate fans
Bublé said he found the gorillas’ reactions “amazing,” and during his show he included special lyrics like, “Stop licking that stump!”
Although Bublé flew all the way down under just to sing to his biggest fans, the trio stopped and listened momentarily before returning to their usual monkey business.
If you’d like to share the experience of one of these gorillas, Bublé is currently on a North American tour. His Austin show is April 5, tickets are on sale now.
