A four-disc compilation of Elvis Presley’s recordings from Nashville, Tennessee is coming this fall.
Back in 1970, Presley made his way to RCA Studio B in Nashville. For five days, Presley recorded with Nashville Cats’ Charlie McCoy and Norbert Putnam, who were Music City sessions players. Fans then dubbed these recording as the “marathon sessions.”
The sessions come in a four-disc compilation titled From Elvis in Nashville. It will be out on November 20 and will be available to purchase as a CD box set or digitally that will come with two discs of outtakes. A two-LP vinyl can also be purchased; it will include highlights from the four-CD box set. Get more details on the pre-order.
August 16 will mark 43 years since Presley’s death. This year’s celebration of Presley’s life at Graceland will be a little different due to the coronavirus. Elvis Week 2020 will run as a virtual event from August 8 through August 16. Fans will have the option to see special programming at their convenience.
